Yes. Decora Building Restoration is fully insured with comprehensive general liability coverage and is WSIB compliant. We can provide certificates of insurance and WSIB clearance certificates upon request β€” standard on any project.

Can Decora work with our building's engineering consultant?

Absolutely β€” this is standard on most projects. We regularly work alongside structural and building envelope engineers, coordinating scopes, submittals, and inspections. If your property manager or condo board is working with a consulting engineer, we can integrate into that process smoothly.

How long does a typical balcony restoration project take?

It depends on the building size, scope, and weather conditions. A typical mid-rise with 80–120 balconies can be completed in 8–14 weeks of active work. We sequence work to minimize disruption to individual units and communicate proactively with property managers throughout.

What is building envelope restoration?

The building envelope is everything that separates the interior of your building from the outside β€” walls, windows, roofline, cladding, sealants, and waterproofing membranes. Envelope restoration involves repairing or replacing these systems to stop water infiltration, maintain structural integrity, and improve energy performance. It's one of the most critical investments a building owner or condo corporation can make.

Do you handle parking garage restoration for underground garages?

Yes. Underground parking garage rehabilitation is one of our core specialties. This includes concrete slab repairs, column and beam repairs, post-tensioned slab work, waterproofing membrane installation, drainage system upgrades, and traffic deck coatings. We've completed these projects for commercial clients, condo corporations, and municipal facilities.

Do you offer winter restoration work?

Some restoration work can be performed year-round; other scopes β€” particularly those involving concrete pours, membrane installation, or masonry pointing β€” have temperature sensitivities. We'll give you an honest assessment of what can proceed and when, and we can schedule post-winter inspections to plan your spring/summer program proactively.
